2012 League Cup Finals
Congratulations to the LV Falcons, this year's Keith Millar Memorial Cup
champions. The Falcons defeated the LV Pirates 2-0 in a fast paced
match that was only decided late in the second half. Man of the
Match was awarded to Gavin Valentine.
The Millar Challenge Cup was a
battle of 'age & experience' versus 'youth and speed' and youth and
speed won! The Young Guns netted 4 goals while the Wanderers were held
scoreless. In the inaugural Millar's Master's Cup LEI FC prevailed with
a 1-0 win over GBH. The win capped a season that saw LEI FC also
claim the Over 40's divisional title. This seasons divisional winners
are:
Division 1 – Tsleil-Waututh Warriors;
Division 2 – Blackhawks;
Division 3 – Roosters; Over
30’s – Deep Cove Brewers; Over 40's - LEI FC
Millar's Summer League
Millar's League is a winter soccer league and does not operate form May through August. However, there is a group of teams from Millar's that do play a summer series of games. If you are interested in the playing some recreational summer ball, please contact Randy Creighton of the Comrades.
New Rule!
Effective immediately any person who enters a field of play to engage a referee or to join in an altercation is subject to a three game suspension. This is a league mandated minimum suspension and therefore not subject to appeal. It also should be recognized that this penalty will be in addition to any other discipline that may result from the event(s) of that match.
